Du Gia, the village at the end of the road
Du Gia (Du Già) is the village most loop itineraries reach after Ma Pi Leng — a quieter valley, a waterfall worth swimming in, and on my trips, usually the day built to be easy on purpose.
What Du Gia actually is
A village at the end of a valley road, reached after Ma Pi Leng and a boat on the Nho Que. On the Classic Loop it is night two; on Off The Map it is a choice between a homestay here or a night camping on the White Cliff instead. Either way, this is the part of the trip built to slow down, not speed up.
The waterfall
Tham Luong waterfall, cold and deep enough to actually swim in — the reward, on my trips, for the riding days before it rather than another photo stop to rush through.

Being straight about the market day
Du Gia's market runs on the ordinary weekly pattern rather than the zodiac cycle — like most fixed markets on the loop, that means a Saturday or Sunday, but I won't pretend I can promise you which one without checking closer to your dates. Ask at your homestay when you arrive; they'll know. The village itself is small enough to walk end to end in twenty minutes — the waterfall just outside it is the real reason to give this stop two nights instead of one.
